What is the golden ratio face test?
The golden ratio is a mathematical proportion, approximately 1.618. This face calculator uses it as a disclosed comparison reference for three landmark ratios. Matching phi does not establish beauty, health or harmony in every face. A useful result is one you can inspect: each ratio is shown with the exact spans that produced it.
The three ratios and their formulas
The vertical ratio compares nose-bridge-to-chin with upper-mesh-point-to-nose-bridge. The horizontal ratio compares outer-eye span with mouth width. The third compares nose-bridge-to-nose-base with nose-base-to-upper-lip. These are the definitions used here; they are not interchangeable with hairline-based facial thirds or clinical measurements.
Reading your golden ratio result
The reference-match score averages each ratio’s relative closeness to phi, clipped to a 0–100 scale. It is not a population percentile.
